General Policies of DiveNet
The following are the basic General Policies of DiveNet as
of November 16th, 1992. These policies are subject to change
as time goes on and the need arises. Any suggestions to the
change or addition of these policies will be considered.
GENERAL - DiveNet is supposed to be FUN and informative.
Lets keep it that way. Respect the conference moderators
and their requests.
ALIASES - It is requested that any HUB or NODE exporting
DiveNet please Toss mail with the users REAL name rather
than any handles or aliases that they may be using. No alias
names will be allowed within any DiveNet conference.
CONTENT - Message content should be kept to an acceptable
subject matter (IE. No Profanity). Message Length should
be set to 150 lines for all HUBS and NODES.
NO and I mean NO Agency Bashing will be permitted within any
DiveNet Conference. The information that is exchanged is to
pleasant and enjoyable to all who read it. Agency Bashing just
proves how immature one can be.
Flaming is FORBIDDEN, no warnings given, period.
Message length subject to change after review. This is to
keep messages from getting cut off in the middle.
ANSI - There are No Conferences set up at this time to allow
the acceptance of ANSI pics. Please refrain from putting them
in the message base.
ACCESSABILTIY - DiveNet is open to all and should be accessable
to anyone no matter age, race, sex or religion.
FidoNet Guys... Well, if we ever get a hub that supports tossing
from QWK, we'll let you in.
Finally, the DiveNet is NOT a democratic network. Suggestions
are welcome and encouraged, as is discussion about any net
related policies or problems. The final decisions however are
made by the Network Administrator. Any blatant violations of
the above policies, or future policies may result in loss of
Node or Hub Status.
